I am Carol. I was born and raised in Hong Kong. Also, I was living in Japan and Germany for almost 2 years. I can speak English, Cantonese, Mandarin, German and Japanese. 
 I graduated from the university in 2008. After that, I was working as a station clerk in the Fire Services Department of Hong Kong for 3.5 years. Then, I joined the Germany Working Holiday and lived in Germany for 1 year. In 2014, I returned to Hong Kong and worked in a government department about students’ financial for almost 1 year. In 2016, I moved to Shanghai for working. At first, I started to teach Cantonese as part-time job. I taught various groups in a local language school in Shanghai. Majority students learned for leisure, but some were for business. In 2018, I quitted my full time job and started learning how to teach foreigners Chinese. I got the qualification certificate of ‘Senior Chinese Teaching Teacher’ which accredited by International Profession Certification Association. Then, I was determined to work as a full time online Cantonese teacher. 

My hobbies are travelling and listening to music. I am interested in different kinds of culture and travelled to many countries in Europe and Asia. I enjoy being an online teacher because I can meet different kinds of people all over the world and teach anywhere, as long as it is quiet and has WIFI connection.

I have got the Senior Chinese Language Teacher qualification which accredited by International Profession Certification Association in 2019. Also, I have got the Certificate of Cantonese Read-Aloud Test in B grade which accredited by The Linguistic Society of Hong Kong in 2022.

Hello, I am Carol from Hong Kong and experienced in teaching Cantonese with educational background for 7 years. Before that, I was living in Japan and Germany for 2 years. My students include the adults, children, and foreigners for all purposes. Also, I have experience in conducting groups and 1 to 1 teaching to famous corporations in Shanghai including Nokia Shanghai Headquarter and New World Education. For foreigners, I mainly use the textbook ‘Colloquial Cantonese’, which has audio to follow. For ’Cantonese in Communication’, unfortunately it does not have any audio. But, it is still an intensive and effective textbook. For those students who can read the Chinese characters, I prefer the textbook ‘香港話（粵語）教程’. It is written by a famous Cantonese linguist. The content is about daily life in Hong Kong.
